This is two week festival during which dozens of private courtyards are open for public tours and the owners of these magnificent courtyards compete for the best courtyard in Spain.
There are numerous photo websites as well as official sites which share the images of these colourful courtyards with those of us who are not able to make it.
Although other plants are used in these displays, the most obvious, colourful and perdominant is the pelargonium. The characteristics of te pelargonium make it uniquely suited to the growing conditions these courtyards have. The first question everyone seems to ask is "How do you water?"
