Our feature plants for this month are Species, Sarcacaulen and Monsonia. Bring in your plants for Show & Tell and the Parlour Show.
Feature:
Plant Breeding: Ian Gillam will give us some insight about how plants are hybridized. How plants are selected for breeding and the process of crossing and crossing until you hopefully get the plant you want.
Ian will also give us some instructions on planting the seeds we have received.
Regular Features:
Seeds: If our seeds were not received from the Geraniaceae Group in England in time for last month's meeting, we will definitely have them for this meeting for distribution. As mentioned last month, we will be having a special prize for the best seeding.
Project Plants: Bring in your project plants.
Parlour and Lore Show: Bring in your best plants to show off, including any pelargonium and geranium lore and pictures.
Show and Tell: Here's your chance to bring in plants or other items of interest to share with the members. This includes any plants you are having problems with and need advice or help with.
BC Council of Garden Clubs AGM: The AGM will be held on March 20, 2010. Delgate and representative to this meeting will be appointed.
