Welcome
The Society meets in the Cedar Room in the Floral Hall at the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens on the first Sunday of each month to discuss our favourite plants - geraniums and pelargoniums.
The most common feedback we get is "I didn't know there were so many different kinds of geraniums!"
In addition to the well known red geranium that just about everyone knows, there are dozens of others, hundreds of varieties and combinations of colour and markings.
We have the well known zonal along with regals (sometimes referred to as Martha Washington), ivies, angels, uniques, dwarfs, miniatures, scented, gold leaf, silver leaf, tri-colour leaf, and geraniums that resemble rosebuds, tulips and carnations. We will be featuring some of these here on our website and we hope you will be encouraged to try some of these varieties.
